Manipal, Jul 11: Day 6 of Manipal International Summer School (MISS) 2026 took participants on an unforgettable journey to Agumbe, where they experienced the breathtaking beauty of the mist-covered Western Ghats.

Led by Dr Vivek Pandi, assistant professor of Evolutionary Biology at the Manipal Centre for Natural Sciences, the rainforest expedition introduced students to one of India's richest biodiversity hotspots, with its towering ancient trees, crystal-clear streams, lush vegetation, and vibrant wildlife.

The immersive experience offered valuable insights into tropical rainforest ecosystems, biodiversity, and conservation, deepening participants' understanding of the delicate balance of nature.

For many, the visit was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness one of India's most pristine rainforest landscapes, leaving them with lasting memories and a renewed appreciation for environmental stewardship..
