Mangaluru, Jul 14: Student leadership took centre stage at Yendurance auditorium as The Yenepoya School, the Yenepoya World School, and the Yenepoya PU College jointly held their investiture ceremony, formally inducting the newly elected cabinet for the academic year.
Proceedings opened on a ceremonial note, with the school band leading a formal welcome performance, followed by a prayer for divine blessings and the school anthem, rendered by the choir.

In his welcome address, Anthony Joseph, associate director, greeted the gathering. Chief guest DIG Praveen Mishra was welcomed with the presentation of a sapling — a gesture symbolising growth and responsibility. Mishria Javeed, director of operations & academics graced the occasion with her presence. Setting the tone for the ceremony, a student representative from The Yenepoya World School spoke about the significance of the occasion and its role in shaping young leaders.
The proceedings built up to the central moment of the event: the investiture of the newly elected cabinet. Badges and sashes were conferred upon the incoming leaders, who then took the oath of office administered jointly by Anthony Joseph and Uzwal Rodney Menezes, principal of Yenepoya PU College. The newly sworn-in head boys, head girls, president, and secretary each spoke briefly, offering their thoughts on the responsibilities that lay ahead. A leadership song performed by the choir brought the segment to a close.
In his keynote address, DIG Praveen Mishra reflected on what it means to be a good student, a responsible child, and an engaged citizen, drawing on examples from mythology to illustrate his points. He encouraged students to set clear, achievable goals and pursue them with discipline and consistency.
Uzwal Rodney Menezes delivered the vote of thanks, bringing the formal proceedings to a close. The ceremony ended with the singing of the national anthem, a fitting close that underscored the spirit of unity and national pride.
