Mangaluru, Jul 17: The department of commerce, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, in association with Miles Education, organised the orientation programme and felicitation of business analytics achievers on July 15 in A4 Hall, Avila Block. The programme was conducted to welcome the first-year students of the business analytics programme and to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the inaugural batch of BCom and BBA (business analytics) students.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Vineetha N T, head, department of commerce, who extended a cordial welcome to the dignitaries, representatives from Miles Education, faculty members, students, and guests. The event was gracefully compered by Rangel Monis, a final-year business analytics student.

















The felicitation ceremony recognised the remarkable accomplishments of the inaugural batch (2023–2026). It was announced that all 12 students who appeared for the AICPA certification in business analytics examination held in May 2026 successfully cleared the examination, achieving a 100% pass result. The remaining students of the inaugural batch also successfully completed the Business Analytics Examination, reflecting the strong academic foundation and commitment of the students.
Nimitha K, business analytics coordinator, invited the achievers to the stage as their names were announced. Trophies and certificates were presented to all the students who successfully completed the AICPA Certification in Business Analytics.
The successful students were Pratheeksha B, Vaishnavi A, Terence Fernandes, Susena Pereira, Shrehitha K, Dan Charles, Sohan, Lenita Lobo, Santhusht Kurian Mathews, Alston Sequeira, Aishwarya K, and Ishwitha Menezes. Certificates were also distributed to the students who successfully completed the business analytics examination. A special recognition was accorded to Pratheeksha B for her outstanding initiative in independently developing an SQL-based project titled 'Diwali Sale Analysis' and showcasing her work on professional platforms such as GitHub and LinkedIn. It was also shared that she had recently commenced her professional career as a data analyst, making her achievement an inspiration to aspiring business analytics students.
The orientation session was conducted by Kiruba Nagini, senior trainer, Miles Education, who addressed the gathering on the structure of the Business Analytics programme, professional certifications, industry expectations, and the diverse career opportunities available in the field. She encouraged the students to actively participate in the programme, develop analytical and technical competencies, and make the best use of the opportunities provided through the collaboration with Miles Education.
Syed Basith, regional manager, Miles Education, was also present on the occasion. His presence reinforced the strong collaboration between St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, and Miles Education in providing students with industry-oriented education and globally recognised professional certification opportunities.
The gathering was then addressed by Sr Dr M Venissa AC, principal, who congratulated the achievers on their remarkable accomplishments and encouraged the newly admitted students to remain committed to learning, embrace emerging technologies, and work towards achieving professional excellence. She also appreciated the collaboration between St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, and Miles Education in equipping students with industry-relevant knowledge and globally recognised professional certifications.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by Fredvin Crasta, who expressed sincere gratitude to the principal, the resource person, the representatives from Miles Education, faculty members, students, organisers, and everyone who contributed to the successful conduct of the programme.
The orientation programme and felicitation ceremony was a memorable and inspiring event that celebrated the outstanding achievements of the inaugural business analytics batch while motivating the incoming students to pursue academic excellence, acquire industry-relevant skills, and build rewarding careers in the ever-evolving field of business analytics.
