Cockfighting gambling busted in Karkala; cash, roosters seized

Karkala, Jul 18: Karkala Town police have registered a case after raiding an alleged cockfighting gambling event at Porlottuguthu in Sanur village of Karkala taluk.

Acting on credible information, PSI Shivakumar and his team conducted the raid and found Rakshith Shetty, Praveen Devadiga and others allegedly involved in cockfighting gambling.

Police seized five roosters used for the gambling, valued at around Rs 12,000, cash amounting to Rs 4,350 and other materials used in the activity.

A case has been registered at Karkala Town police station, and further investigation is underway.
