Gaza City, Jul 19: At least 11 people were killed in Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip on Saturday, Palestinian health officials said, including five members of the same family in Gaza City.

According to Gaza's civil defence agency, an Israeli airstrike hit a residential apartment in north-west Gaza City, killing a couple and their three children.

"The family's only surviving member is one child, who was not inside the house at the time of the strike," civil defence spokesperson Mahmoud Bassal told AFP.

Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City confirmed it had received the bodies of the five victims.

Palestinian health authorities said a total of 11 people were killed in Israeli attacks across the territory on Saturday.

According to Gaza's Health Ministry, at least 1,150 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces since the US-brokered ceasefire between Israel and Hamas came into effect last October.
