Changzhou, Jul 21: India's HS Prannoy crashed out of the China Open badminton tournament after suffering a straight-games defeat to Malaysia's Leong Jun Hao in the opening round on Tuesday.
Prannoy went down 10-21, 14-21 in the men's singles Round of 32, bringing an early end to his campaign.
India's challenge in the men's singles now rests with Lakshya Sen and Ayush Shetty, who are yet to begin their campaigns.

In the women's singles, two-time Olympic medallist P.V. Sindhu will face fellow Indian Unnati Hooda in an all-Indian Round of 32 clash on Wednesday. Devika Sihag is the other Indian competing in the women's singles draw.
In the men's doubles event, MR Arjun and Hariharan Amsakarunan are India's only representatives.
India will also be represented in the mixed doubles by Olympian Tanisha Crasto and Dhruv Kapila, as well as the pair of Rohan Kapoor and Ruthvika Shivani Gadde.
There are no Indian entries in the women's doubles competition.
