Ajman: Medical Experts to Discuss Women's Health Issues at GMU National Conference

Ajman, Mar 22: Gulf Medical University (GMU). here, as part of International Women’s Day celebrations have invited leading experts from all over UAE to discuss various issues related to women’s health. The event will be held on March 30 at GMU campus, here

The management and academic leadership of GMU has decided to bestow a special award and honour on leading gynecologists from UAE in recognition of their exemplary achievements in the field of gynecology and for their service to the community. Leading experts like Dr Awatif Albahar, Dr Zulekha Daud, Dr Muna Tahlak, Dr K Gill, Dr Kasturi Mummigatti and others will be honored.

The awards function will be held at GMU campus, Ajman on March 30 at 10.30 am. His Excellency Sheikh Dr Majid Bin Saeed Al Nuaimi, chairman, ruler’s court Ajman will do the honours and Thumbay Moideen, founder president, board of governors, Gulf Medical University will preside over the function.

Experts in the field of gynecology and obstetrics, will highlight on Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOS), evaluation of couples for infertility, menopausal therapy, recurrent miscarriage and laparoscopy for acute abdomen in pregnancy – current trends and practices.

Prof Mawahib Abd Salman from GMC hospital, Dr Mohamed Elkalyoubi from Dubai gynecology and fertility centre, Dubai Health Authority, Dr Husnia Gargash, director - Gargash IVF centre, and Dr Prashant Hegde, department of gynecology - GMC hospital Ajman will deliver the lectures.

Over 150 doctors, medics and nurses specialized in gynecology and obstetrics are expected to participate in the all important event which is accredited by the Ministry of Health for six CME hours.
