Udupi, Jul 23: In a heartening initiative that brings the wonder of modern reproductive science closer to the common public, Kasturba Hospital, Manipal, together with Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, is all set to celebrate World Embryologist Day 2026 on Saturday, July 25. The awareness programme, themed ‘Experience the Miracle of Life in the IVF Laboratory,’ will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Manipal Center for Embryology and Reproductive Science (MARC), on the premises of Kasturba Medical College and Hospital, Manipal.
The event is open to all, and free registration is available, with the noble intention of raising awareness of fertility, embryology, and assisted reproductive technologies. It seeks to bring together couples planning parenthood, aspiring embryologists, and members of the public, so that they may understand and appreciate the dedicated science that helps transform the dream of parenthood into a beautiful reality

The programme will be formally inaugurated at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 25, by Dr Anil Bhat, dean, Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, in the gracious presence of Dr Sudhakar Kantipudi, chief operating officer, Teaching Hospitals, Manipal Cluster.
Highlights of the programme
Fertility connect: Couples who are planning to start or expand their family may meet the hospital’s fertility specialists for complimentary one-on-one consultations. They will receive expert guidance, may discuss their concerns freely, and will be apprised of the latest fertility treatment options available.
Embryology open house: Those interested in Clinical Embryology as a career are invited to step inside the state-of-the-art IVF laboratory, interact with experienced embryologists, witness how life is created through advanced reproductive technologies, and explore career opportunities in one of the fastest-growing specialties in healthcare.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Satish Kumar Adiga, head, Center of Excellence in Clinical Embryology and coordinator, Center for Fertility Preservation, said, “Embryologists are the silent hands behind every successful IVF journey, working quietly in the laboratory to nurture the very first moments of life. On World Embryologist Day, we wish to open our doors to the public and let them witness the science, precision, and devotion that go into helping a couple embrace parenthood. It is our humble endeavor to demystify assisted reproduction and inspire the next generation of embryologists.”
