Man dies of cardiac arrest while preparing to attend wedding in Udupi

Udupi, Jul 27: A 54-year-old man died of a massive cardiac arrest while preparing to attend a wedding function at Katapady in Udupi district on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Y B Abdul Rahman, a driver with the SLRM unit of Manipur gram panchayat.

According to family members, Abdul Rahman had completed his routine work and was getting ready to attend a wedding when he suddenly suffered a severe cardiac arrest. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Abdul Rahman is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.

He had earlier run A R Tailoring at Dendurkatte and had also worked abroad for several years. After returning to his native place, he earned his livelihood by operating his own goods vehicle and was also serving as a driver with the SLRM unit of the Manipur gram panchayat.

His sudden demise has left family members, friends and local residents in shock.
