Beltangady, Jul 27: Following the Sunday Holy Mass, more than 80 children from class IV to PUC gathered at the St Paul English Medium School Hall for a digital awareness programme, jointly organised by the Youth Commission and the Social Communication Commission of St Antony Church, Naravi. The programme commenced with a meaningful prayer and an inspiring action song presented by the children.
The gathering was warmly welcomed by Jovel Fernandes, youth commission secretary and ICYM animator, who welcomed the dignitaries and participants. The programme was graced by the presence of Fr Jerome D'Souza, parish priest; Fr Rupesh Tauro; Sr Saritha; Sunil D'Souza, commission convener; Rohan Pereira, commission secretary; and Sumitha D'Souza, secretary of the Parish Pastoral Parishad.








The resource person, Noel Jeevan Nazareth, Hospet, a member of the diocesan resource team, higher education educator, PhD scholar, and branding expert, delivered an engaging and thought-provoking session on responsible digital media usage, online safety, and the positive use of technology. Through interactive discussions and activities, he encouraged children to become responsible digital citizens and to use social media wisely.
The programme was compered by Sunil D'Souza. Rohan Pereira, commission secretary, actively supported the organisation and coordination of the session, contributing to its successful execution. ICYM president Winsten, ICYM secretary Clerissa Miranda, and other ICYM members also rendered their valuable service, making the programme well organised and memorable.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the resource person, clergy, religious sister, organisers, volunteers, and all the children whose enthusiastic participation made the event meaningful and enriching.
