Udupi, Jul 27: Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organized a three-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "Empowering Faculty for Academic Excellence and Institutional Transformation for Future Ready Education" on Monday at the institute's Seminar Hall.
During the inauguration session Dr Radhakrishna S Aithal, CEO, Sode Group of Educational Institutions, emphasized the role of faculty as change agents and encouraged them to become "Chief Enabling Officers" who inspire, influence, and inform students.




Delivering the keynote address, corporate trainer and Life Coach Praveen V Gudi highlighted the importance of the Head, Heart and Hand approach in education, stressing the need to combine knowledge, empathy, and practical skills to create meaningful learning experiences.
During his address Dr Nagaraj Bhat, principal of SMVITM, called for technology-enabled and student-centric teaching practices to meet the expectations of Gen-Z learners. The program commenced with a welcome address by Dr Sudarshan Rao, Dean (Academics), and concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Subbulakshmi N Karanth, IQAC Coordinator.
The three daysFDP (July 27 to 29) features sessions on mindfulness, emotional resilience, workplace wellness, Gen-Z learning, entrepreneurship, and traditional Indian knowledge systems. Faculty members from all departments are participating in the program aimed at enhancing teaching effectiveness and promoting academic excellence.
