Mangaluru: Srinivas University hosts National Conference INNOVHEALTH'26

Mangaluru, Jul 27: The Institute of Allied Health Sciences (IAHS), Srinivas University, in collaboration with the Karnataka State Allied Healthcare Council, successfully organised the two-day national conference, INNOVHEALTH '26, on July 24 and 25 at Srinivas Hotel, Mangaluru. Held under the theme "Bridging Science, Practice and Innovation in Healthcare," the conference witnessed an overwhelming response with 612 registrations and 135 research abstracts submitted by participants from 23 universities and institutes across the country.

The conference was inaugurated by Dr Jeyakumar, professor and research coordinator, Garden City University, Bengaluru, who highlighted the vital role of allied healthcare professionals in transforming community healthcare. The inaugural ceremony was attended by Srinivas University honourable chancellor Dr A Srinivas Rao, Srinivas University Board of Governors trustee members A Vijayalakshmi R Rao and Prof Er. A. Mitra S. Rao, registrar Dr Anil Kumar, registrar (Development) Dr Ajay Kumar, dean of IAHS and organizing chairperson Dr Pavana Krishnamoorthy, and convenor Savin K Vidyan.

Over the two days, experts from leading institutions delivered technical sessions on artificial intelligence, emergency and respiratory care, medical laboratory technology, digital psychiatry, medical imaging, diagnostics, and cybersecurity in healthcare. The conference also featured oral and poster presentations showcasing innovative research by faculty members and students.

The valedictory session was presided over by Dr U T Ifthikar Fareed, chairman of the Karnataka State Allied Healthcare Council, who emphasized the importance of a standardized allied healthcare curriculum across India. Winners of various oral and poster presentation categories were felicitated during the closing ceremony. Chancellor Dr A Srinivas Rao congratulated the organizers and participants for making INNOVHEALTH'26 a grand success and encouraged continued research and innovation in allied health sciences.
