Glasgow, Jul 28: India's campaign at the 2026 Commonwealth Games is set to gather momentum on Tuesday, with five boxers aiming to secure at least bronze medals by reaching the semi-finals of their respective events.
Five Indian pugilists will compete in the quarter-finals, where a victory will guarantee a medal, as both losing semi-finalists receive bronze in Commonwealth Games boxing.
In the women's category, Preeti Pawar will contest the 54kg quarter-final, Priya Ghanghas will compete in the 60kg division, while Parveen Hooda will be in action in the 65kg event.
In the men's section, Jadumani Singh will fight in the 55kg category, and Kapil Pokhariya will compete in the 90kg quarter-final.
Besides boxing, India will also be in contention for medals in weightlifting and athletics as athletes continue their campaign in Glasgow.
