The event was witnessed by the principal, vice principal, teachers, staff and students, who gathered with great enthusiasm to welcome this remarkable advancement in educational technology.
The inauguration became a memorable occasion as IRIS warmly greeted and shook hands with the principal, Sr Lourdes, followed by members of the faculty and students, symbolising the harmonious integration of technology and education. The robot then interacted confidently with the audience, responding intelligently to a variety of questions posed by students. Its remarkable ability to understand and communicate through Natural Language Processing (NLP) captivated everyone present.
The interactive session showcased IRIS' quick responses, friendly personality and impressive communication skills, leaving students inspired and eager to explore the vast possibilities of Artificial Intelligence. The demonstration highlighted how AI can enrich classroom learning by assisting teachers, clarifying students' doubts, conducting interactive quizzes and communicating in multiple languages.
Adding depth to the occasion, the school cabinet members conducted a thought-provoking assembly on the theme ‘Artificial Intelligence and Robotics’. Through meaningful reflections, they highlighted the growing influence of AI in education and everyday life while emphasising the importance of using technology responsibly, ethically and creatively for the betterment of society.
