Mangalore: Air India Express Introduces Daily Flight to Mumbai

Mangalore, Mar 23: Some good news for frequent flyers between Mangalore and Mumbai. Air India Express has announced that come Sunday March 25, it will introduce a daily flight between the two cities.

The flight - AIX 802 - will take off from Mangalore at 10.25 am and arrive in Mumbai at 12.10 pm.

The flight will then depart from Mumbai at 1.10 pm and touch down in Mangalore at 2.55 pm.

The flight operation in Mumbai airport will be handled in its international terminal, which will also help other passengers in taking a connecting flight.

    First of all thanks AI to introduce the daily flight to Mangalore. unfortunately the timing is not conveient, hence i amrequesting AI to recheck the timings instead of after noon flight why AI keep the morning 01st flight to IXE BEFORE ALL OTHER FLIGHT??????????     Air India employees union of all political affiliations have threatened to go on indefinite strike in 1st week of April 2012 for settlement of unpaid wages, increase in perks and salaries...AI is not dependable at all......

    For best, efficient, economical and puncutal services, govt has to privatise all air lines operting in India. Its not govts cup of tea any more as corruption is rampant, salaries are not paid, no upgradation, no roper maintenance of aircrafts, AI cant compete with major alir lines.. always delays or cancellations without notice and without alternate arrrangements... AIE price between Dubai/Mangalore is not competitive. Infact its more than Emirates flight Dubai/Bangalore.. EK gives food and drinks, but AIE doesnt serve any thing.. This is high time that govt opens its eyes and privatise 49% holding to private players and make it more trustworthy and safe....

    good move, but does not seem to be a direct flight. flying time is one hour 45 minutes. a direct flight would have been better.

    good , but late and cancell will be more, so it is very difficult to belive on it ,is it will help any connection to saudi pepole or same flight can fly to any city of saudi ????if have some time ????then can go back to mlore via or direct ?????when these days will come ????

    It is boon. Hope they will not squeeze the passengers like other operators. Recently...airlines started charging exorbitant...three times the normal! AIE can accommodate large number of passengers and majority travelers can enjoy the fair pricing. I request them to start flights in Mangalore-Bangalore sectors. Recently Jet and Kingfisher were charging up to Rs. 14,000 (one way! higher than Bangalore -Dubai return!) to last minute desperate passengers!
