Mangaluru, Jul 30: Marking a significant step towards integrating religious education with modern technology, an Islamic smart library, computer classroom, and smart AC classroom were inaugurated at Islaahul Islam Madrasa under the aegis of Islaahul Islam Juma Masjid, Vamanjoor, on Sunday.
The programme was presided over by Jamaat president Mohammed Iqbal G P Juma Masjid Khateeb Mohammed Faiz Al Palili was present on the occasion. The event commenced with a dua led by former Khateeb of Islaahul Islam Juma Masjid, I M Abdul Kareem Madani.

K P S Assayyid Fazal Jamalullaili Thangal M F B Kamil, president of Wadi Irfan Academy, Beltangady, inaugurated the Islamic smart library and computer classroom, while Samastha Central Mushawara member Shaikhuna K M Usmanul Faizy Thodar inaugurated the smart AC classroom.
Speaking on the occasion, management committee vice-president Abdul Rasheed Aman said that along with religious education, it is essential to promote digital knowledge, information technology, and reading habits among students. He noted that the new initiatives aim to nurture research aptitude, encourage reading, improve technological skills, and enhance the overall quality of learning.
Madrasa Sadr Muallim Jaffer Sadiq Sakafi said that the Islamic Smart Library would provide students with access to books on Islamic studies, academics, literature, and competitive examinations. He added that the computer classroom would offer basic computer education and digital literacy, while the smart AC classroom, equipped with audio-visual teaching facilities, would create a better learning environment for students.
Among those present were MUDA Commissioner Mohammed Nazeer, PWD Mangaluru Accounts Superintendent Ahmed Noufal M, SDPI Mangaluru City district president Ashraf Addoor, Maulana Badruddin Azhari of Markaz Kaikamba, Shala Juma Masjid Khateeb Abdul Nazeer Azhari, Ulaibettu Jamaat president Abdul Rasheed, Edurupadavu Jamaat president A K Basheer, FFB Charitable Trust's Mohammed Kalawar, along with several dignitaries from religious, educational, administrative, political, and business sectors.
The management of Islaahul Islam Juma Masjid expressed confidence that the newly introduced facilities would enhance the quality of education, serve as a model for the community, and play a vital role in shaping students' future.
