Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jul 30: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Thursday demanded the resignation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, alleging that security agencies acted on his orders during the crackdown on students protesting over the NEET paper leak at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi earlier this month.

Addressing reporters at his residence in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, Dipke alleged that democracy in India was under threat and accused central investigative agencies of being used to weaken opposition parties.

He claimed that agencies such as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had been used to split political parties, including the Shiv Sena and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). He said safeguarding democracy was no longer the responsibility of the opposition alone and called on citizens to unite against what he described as growing authoritarianism.

Dipke also questioned allegations that the Cockroach Janta Party was receiving foreign funding, saying that if such claims were true, it would reflect a failure on the part of the Union Home Minister.

He alleged that the order to use force against students protesting on Jul 20 had come from Amit Shah and no one else.

The CJP leader, who headed the month-long protest at Jantar Mantar over alleged irregularities in the NEET (UG) examination, also criticised the appointment of Pralhad Joshi as Education Minister and announced his support for farmers protesting against the government.

Dipke further alleged that trucks loaded with stones had been brought to the protest site by the Delhi Police as part of a plan to portray the agitating students as engaging in stone-pelting.

He said he had raised the issue with the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), who informed him that the truck was carrying debris from a construction site. Dipke, however, alleged that it could have been part of a planned attempt involving the police and ruling party workers.

He also appealed to police personnel across the country to act in accordance with the Constitution rather than political directives.

The allegations made by Dipke have not been independently verified, and there was no immediate response from the Union Home Ministry or the Delhi Police.
