Mangaluru, Aug 1: The student council inauguration ceremony for the academic year 2026–2027 of the Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, was held on July 31 at the Aviation Campus, Hampankatta, with great enthusiasm and dignity.

The ceremony commenced with a prayer, invoking blessings for a successful academic year. Varshitha, head of the department, BBA Aviation Management, welcomed the gathering, followed by Aishwarya, head of the department, BBA Aviation & Logistics Management, who highlighted the significance and purpose of the occasion.

The highlight of the event was the badge distribution and the official inauguration of the student council, conducted by Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation Studies.

The newly elected council members, including president, vice president, secretary, and joint secretary, were formally introduced, along with the student coordinators of various forums and committees. The oath-taking ceremony was administered by Roshin K Sibi, student welfare officer, who also extended his best wishes to the newly elected council members. Dr Pavithra Kumari then delivered her inspiring presidential remarks, encouraging the students to lead with responsibility, integrity, and commitment.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Sushmitha Das, assistant professor, who acknowledged the efforts of all those who contributed to the successful organization of the event.

The programme was gracefully compered by Pratheeksha S Shetty, assistant professor, and Prithvi, assistant professor, Institute of Aviation Studies ensuring the smooth and seamless flow of the ceremony.

The event concluded with the National Anthem, marking the successful inauguration of the student council for the academic year 2026–2027.
