New Delhi, Aug 3: Multiple schools in Delhi received bomb threat emails on Monday, prompting the Delhi Police, Delhi Fire Services and bomb disposal squads to launch extensive search operations and evacuate campuses as a precautionary measure.

Following the threats, police teams, bomb disposal units, dog squads and fire personnel rushed to the affected schools and secured the premises.

Authorities carried out anti-sabotage checks across classrooms, administrative blocks and other parts of the school campuses after evacuating students and staff.

Police said no suspicious object had been found during the searches so far.

Among the schools that received the threat was Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, which informed parents that a security threat had been received through email and that all students had been evacuated safely.

The school said classes would resume only after the police declared the premises safe.

Officials said emergency response teams followed standard operating procedures by securing the campuses, evacuating students and staff, and conducting thorough inspections of the buildings.

Delhi Police has launched an investigation to trace the origin of the threat emails and identify those responsible.

Authorities have urged parents and members of the public to remain calm and avoid circulating unverified information on social media while the investigation is underway.
