Mangalore, Mar 24: Densely clouded areas in and around the city, experienced light showers for a few minutes late on Friday March 23.

An electric wire near 'Heritage', Attavar, caught fire due to coconut palm leaves scraping it. A huge blast soon followed this.

Fire personnel rushed to the spot immediately along with the Pandeshwar police officials.
