Karkala, Aug 7: Six students from Christ King Educational Institution secured first place and qualified for the district-level wrestling tournament at the taluk-level Primary and High School Boys' and Girls' Wrestling Competition held recently.

The tournament was organized by the Department of Public Instruction, Government of Karnataka, the Office of the Block Education Officer, Karkala, and hosted at the SVT High School Indoor Stadium.

In the high school boys' category, Class 9 student Satwik emerged champion. In the high school girls' category, Sanvi M Nayak and Rithu Francis of Class 10 secured first place.

In the primary school category, Mohammed Afraz and h M Nayak of Class 8, along with Aryan S of Class 7, clinched first place, earning qualification for the district-level competition.

Other notable performers from the institution included Vandith, Dhruvith, and Siddharth of Class 9, Ayan of Class 8, and Aman of Class 7, who secured second place in their respective categories. Shifan of Class 8 finished third in the tournament.
