Panaji, Aug 7: The Goa Konkani Akademi has officially announced that veteran Konkani writer Stan Ageira has been selected for the prestigious 2025 Literary Language Service Award for his acclaimed book 'Dhampallim Ghaditam', an anthology of short stories. The Akademi’s formal letter confirmed that the honour includes a cash prize of Rs 25,000, a certificate, and a memento.
The award ceremony will be held on Thursday, August 20, at 4:00 pm at the Department of Geography auditorium (Block E), Goa University, with the recipients requested to be present by 3:45 pm.

A five-decade literary journey
Stan Ageira began his writing career in 1975 when his first short story was published in the 'Raknno' weekly. Over the last five decades, he has built one of the most prolific bodies of work in contemporary Konkani literature, comprising:
