Leadership Issue in Karnataka Resolved, Claims Eshwarappa

Shimoga, Mar 24 (PTI): BJP's Karnataka unit president K S Eshwarappa today claimed that the leadership issue in the state has been resolved and Sadananda Gowda would continue as the Chief Minister for the remaining term.

"Central leaders have spoken to former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and leadership issue has been resolved," he told reporters here.

Replying to a question, Eshwarappa said cabinet expansion and appointment to boards and corporations would be done after the budget session, which ends on March 30.

Minister for Medical Education A Ramdas, however, said the crisis in the party would end by April 15.

He told reporters in Mysore that after the crisis ends, party leaders would undertake a state-wide tour "to express regret over the political developments that had hit BJP."

    Congress have the huge advantage here. For congress any cm is ok in karnataka. Here the disadvantage is in bjp, next election bjp vote will definitely split, congress may take advantage and form the government in karnataka, bjp ruined by yeddi. BJP dont use their brains. Only one man is to be blamed is mr yeddi.

    Good, so i can keep commenting. Just wait for few days Yeddy will open some new issue on Leadership. He is like a wounded Lion now. Until crooked people like Renukacharya are around Yeddy this will be a never ending issue. So far my prediction is working, that's "Yeddy will never become CM again"his political career is over. Next election he will not even win in his home town. Any one has doubts......?

    Good lesson for Yeddyurappa.

    "If you plan to downgrade others, it will affect you only in future."

    Yeddy wanted to be a single Lingayath leader in the BJP and hence suppressed growth of other Lingayath leaders.

    Jagadish shettar is an important and prominent leader from N-Karnataka. When forming the Govt, he was expected to be given one of the top portfolios like Home, Transport or revenue. But selfish Yeddy made him speaker of the assembly suppressing his growth. Weak Shettar kept his mouth silent and accepted.

    Later during the election of new CM, Shettar was the first choice. Again Yeddy plotted against him thinking that he will lose the name of lingayath tag and more over CM of his choice will listen to him and step down whenever he wants.

    Now Yeddi succeeded in getting friendship of Shettar on the basis of cast! What a joke..! The weak Shettar should have kept himself away from Yeddy.

    All plans of Yeddi failed! He would have understood now, conspiracy against a person has affected himself.

    Finally I thank Yeddy for making DVS CM. Shettar would have been a weaker CM. DVS managed all the tortures of Yeddy without compromising the development works in the state.
