Ballia, Aug 8: In a shocking incident, a two-and-a-half-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by her 14-year-old neighbor under the jurisdiction of Sukhpura police station limits. Police have detained the accused juvenile in connection with the crime.

According to police sources, the incident occurred at around 3:30 PM on Friday, August 7. The toddler was playing near her residence when the 14-year-old boy lured her to an isolated location and committed the assault.

Following a complaint lodged by the victim's father, police registered a case against the teenager under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Speaking to the media, Station House Officer (SHO) Ratnesh Dubey confirmed that the accused minor has been taken into police custody and is currently being interrogated regarding the matter. Further legal proceedings are underway.

    Am speechless and shocked.From where comes the idea to this juvenile?From father?Are Parents not alive.His parents should e called and clear it f they too are doing this and boy saw this?Really feel pity for that child .Hope she will be treated well and gets to normal life again.When such things happen in a childhood or younger generation ,childhood is not a happy one .Parents also should e bit careful about their children.Not simply let out and go inside to do their own interest to cook or telefon.Child is left without any observation.and LEFT TO MOST HARDSHIP:Who takes up the medical treatment of the child now?Let juveniles Parents do it.He is still a minor in the eyes of the rules.
