Mangaluru, Aug 9: Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru, recorded an impressive performance at the AICS table tennis tournament for Dakshina Kannada district held on July 31, at SDM School, Mangaluru, with both the junior and senior girls’ teams making their mark.

The junior girls’ team clinched the winners’ title, displaying skill, composure and excellent coordination throughout the tournament. The victorious quartet featured Aadya U of grade VIII, Rhea Hurtis of grade VII, Suzanne Carol Dalmeida of grade VI and Thrapthi Suvarna of grade VI.

The senior girls’ team secured the runners-up position, matching strong opponents with determination, consistency and fighting spirit. The team comprised Shanaya Isabel Martis of grade VIII, Shyna Dsouza of grade VII, Medha Thekkatte Padiyar of grade V and Ivanshi Showri Bhandary of grade IV.

The twin success reflects the players’ dedication, disciplined preparation and determination to excel. The school management, principal, staff and students congratulated the young paddlers, along with their PETs and coach, and wished them continued success in their sporting journey.
