Moodbidri/Mangaluru, Aug 9: A dream born in the rural belt of Niddodi/Moodbidri in Karnataka has now earned a place on the national stage. Leksa Lighting Technologies Pvt. Ltd., built through the vision, perseverance and sustained efforts of Niddodi/Moodbidri-based entrepreneur Ronald Sylvan D’Souza, has been recognised among India’s Top 100 MSME enterprises.
The prestigious national recognition was conferred by the MSME Udyog Foundation at a ceremony held in New Delhi on August 8, 2026.

Starting his entrepreneurial journey from a modest background, Ronald Sylvan D’Souza transformed Leksa Lighting into a reputed lighting technology enterprise by focusing on quality, discipline, technological innovation and Indian manufacturing.
The journey began with an ambition that “a dream born in rural Karnataka should one day light up the entire country”. That vision has now reached a significant national milestone.
Reflecting on the achievement, Ronald Sylvan D’Souza said, “This honour is not my achievement alone. It is the result of the hard work of every member of the Leksa family, our customers, partners, my family and everyone who has placed their trust in us. I am immensely proud and happy that a dream that began in a rural area like Niddodi/Moodbidri has today earned recognition at the national level.”
Behind Leksa Lighting’s growth are continuous research and development, indigenous manufacturing, quality standards and the adoption of Japanese work practices, which have played a crucial role in shaping the company.
From its beginnings in rural Karnataka, the enterprise has expanded its reach across different parts of the country, taking its lighting technology to customers nationwide while also making its presence felt in the international market.
Ronald Sylvan D’Souza’s entrepreneurial journey has once again demonstrated that “dreams have no limits” and that national-level achievement is possible even from a rural region when backed by belief, discipline, sustained effort and hard work. “A dream that began in Niddodi/Moodbidri — today lights up the nation.”
