Kaup, Aug 10: The roof of a house belonging to Revathi Kundar in Ellur collapsed, resulting in property loss amounting to lacs of rupees.

The incident occurred at midnight on Saturday when the rafters of the tiled roof broke and collapsed directly into the room where Revathi was sleeping. She had a miraculous escape, sustaining only minor injuries in the mishap. Other family members who were sleeping in different rooms also escaped unhurt.

Approximately 75 percent of the house's roof was completely destroyed in the collapse. The total damage is estimated to be around Rs 3 lac.

Following the incident, the village accountant of the Ellur gram panchayat visited the location to inspect and assess the extent of the damage.

    Oh very bad.Such a loss without any ones fault.How good that neighbours were her rescue.When one has a good neighbourhood then is one can live peacefully ,When not it can a hell on earth.Hope she will get help to rebuild house .What was the cause ?Does anyone know?Was built without proper fixing ?old?Thank God noone was hurt .House can be built again but not when someone dies .

    Sone neighbours are really like guardians/caretakers in difficulties. Many neighbours are destroyers of good vibes/good relations in the locality. Hats off to this neighbour! God bless

    This is resurrection for Revathi Amma and her family members. One of the famous bible quotes is " love thy neighbour as you love thyself". Heard in one retreat that "You can reach heaven's gate through the neighbour's compound". Neighbours often spread gossips/spread unnecessary rumours/provocate/interfere/talking nicely applying butter and ghee..but, in such incidents our dear neighbours are the first one to help.

    So terrifying incident. Thats why generally we all believe that keepin a good relation with neighbors is a must. At any critical juncture or eventuality and home members are away or not present in the house, only the neighbors are the ones who will never stay back when help needed. Here the neighbor knowing that the task is dangerous his reflexes were so instant he saved the his neighbors from dager. He didn't get panic. Salute such to his bavery.
