Mangaluru, Aug 11: English came alive with energy and enthusiasm at Ladyhill School (ICSE), Urwa, as students from the school embraced the Googolplex Communicative English programme by SR EduTech. Designed to build confident speakers and effective communicators, the programme brings English learning beyond textbooks through interactive activities, engaging experiences and joyful learning.
Adding colour, energy and excitement to the initiative, Raagini, the resource person and English communicative trainer at SR EduTech, conducted an engaging activity implementation and monitoring session at Ladyhill School on August 5. The session brought together young learners from kindergarten to grade IX, who enthusiastically participated in a lively range of age-appropriate activities designed to sharpen their communication, pronunciation, vocabulary, confidence and spoken English fluency. With learning blended seamlessly with fun, the classrooms transformed into vibrant spaces where students were encouraged to speak, express, perform and learn with confidence.
Bringing a burst of energy, excitement and creativity into every classroom, Raagini interacted enthusiastically with students and encouraged them to step out of their comfort zones and communicate confidently in English. The sessions came alive with fun-filled, activity-based learning, as colourful balloons, vibrant placards and real-life objects were creatively woven into the activities. The lively interactions sparked curiosity, laughter and enthusiastic participation, turning each classroom into an exciting space where students could speak, explore, express and learn English with confidence and joy.
The session came alive with fun, energy and enthusiastic participation through activities such as fun with phonics, clap and tap, roll and say, sentence building and tongue twisters, helping students improve pronunciation, vocabulary and fluency. The excitement soared with the school radio show, spell bee and monologue performances, where students confidently showcased their speaking and expressive skills. Interactive memory and vocabulary challenges added to the fun, making English learning an engaging, joyful and confidence-building experience. The activities transformed English learning into a joyful, hands-on experience, inspiring students to discover that speaking English can be both easy and exciting.
Kindergarten kids were introduced to phonics and pronunciation through movement-based activities and playful learning. Students of grade I and II demonstrated a commendable ability to differentiate between short and long vowel sounds and pronounce words with greater clarity and proper diction. For higher classes, the school radio show, monologues and spell bee turned into exciting platforms to speak, perform and shine. With confidence and enthusiasm, students showcased their English-speaking abilities, sharpened their articulation and strengthened their public-speaking and presentation skills.
The session blended Total Physical Response (TPR) and speed shadowing to strengthen pronunciation, rhythm and fluency through movement and repetition. With a strong focus on learning by doing, students enthusiastically participated, making English learning a natural, interactive and joyful experience. To celebrate their enthusiasm and growing confidence, students were proudly awarded Googolplex Communicator Badges for their effective speaking skills. Beaming with joy, the young communicators received their badges with pride, marking a memorable milestone in their journey towards becoming confident English speakers.
The Communicative English teachers, Pratiksha and Yashaswi, have played a key role in nurturing a vibrant English-speaking environment. Their dedicated efforts and consistent encouragement have helped students participate with greater enthusiasm, confidence and ease.
The session beautifully blended communication, creativity and experiential learning, giving students the freedom to speak, express and learn English with confidence and joy.
