Kuwait: Tulu Koota Members have Fun at Get-together

Kuwait, Mar 25: Tulu Koota Kuwait under the leadership of Ramesh Kidiyoor organized a get-together for its members and their families on Friday March 23 at Mishrif Garden.

The program started with a formal inauguration with president Ramesh Kidiyoor hosting Tulu Koota flag, followed by cutting of ribbon by sports secretary Foustine Pinto.

Ramesh Kidiyoor welcomed everyone. Doves were released by management committee to mark the occasion.

Maintaining the tradition of Tulunadu, different games were arranged for different age categories. Children enjoyed variety of games such as passing the toy, clipping the cloth and race, coin picking from the mud, race and break the balloon, ball between legs walk/ race, lagori solo, tonka and skipping race. Ladies had sand race, palya tonka and throw ball. Couple cricket and harbana race were arranged for couples. Men enjoyed shot put, pillow fight, volley ball and kabaddi. Musical chair and passing the coconut were arranged for senior citizens.

Mouth watering lunch was served to all. Mangalore’s traditional “tharai katta”, breaking the pot, treasure hunt, housie and govinda reminded the days in Mangalore. The day witnessed a good crowd of Mangalore’s Tulu speaking people.
