Mangaluru: Fire at Surathkal graphics centre causes Rs 1.60 crore loss

Mangaluru, Aug 12: A fire accident at Avishkar Graphics Centre in Guddekopla, Surathkal, on August 10 reportedly caused an estimated loss of Rs 1.60 crore.

Printing machinery at the centre was completely gutted in the fire.

Local residents noticed the fire at night and informed the shop owner, following which the fire and emergency services were alerted. Fire personnel rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze.

A complaint has been registered at the Surathkal police station in connection with the incident.
