Media Release

Udupi, Aug 12: Glowinstar Integrated School organized a parent-teacher meeting with the aim of bringing parents and teachers together to strengthen communication and foster a better understanding of students’ academic and emotional needs.

The chief guest for the occasion was Dr Shweta T S, associate professor and head of the department of clinical psychology at Manipal College of Health Professions, Manipal. The session began with a prayer led by the teachers. Headmistress Neethew Fernandes warmly welcomed the gathering.

Dr Shweta T S conducted an insightful session on child psychology and the behavioural patterns of children at different stages of development. Drawing from her professional experience, she explained various aspects of children’s behaviour and offered practical guidance to parents on understanding and responding to their children’s needs.

The session was highly interactive, with parents actively participating in a question-and-answer session. They raised several interesting questions and clarified their doubts regarding child behaviour, development, and parenting.

Principal Dr T J Quadros addressed the parents and emphasized the importance of a strong and healthy parent-child relationship. He also highlighted the significance of parents actively participating in PTMs and working closely with teachers for the overall development of their children.

Following the session, parents reviewed their children’s answer sheets and marks and interacted with the respective subject teachers. The interaction provided parents with an opportunity to understand their children’s academic performance, discuss their progress, and seek guidance from teachers on areas requiring improvement.

Parents of students from grade 1 to 10 attended the meeting, ensuring enthusiastic and full participation. The programme provided a valuable platform for parents and teachers to exchange ideas, address concerns, and work together towards the holistic development of the students.

Overall, the PTM was an informative and engaging event that strengthened the partnership between parents, teachers, and the school and reinforced the importance of their collective role in supporting students’ academic and personal growth.
