Kasargod, Aug 12: A 25-year-old bank professional hailing from Kasargod ended her life in her rented room in Hunsur, Mysuru district, leaving her family and community in profound grief.

The deceased, identified as P Anushree, was the daughter of K Chandran and Reena, residents of Poochakkad in Kasaragod. She had been serving as a staff member at a local bank branch in Hunsur.

Wedding preparations were in full swing for Anushree, whose marriage had been fixed for December 26 later this year. What should have been a festive countdown to her big day took a devastating turn when she reportedly hanged herself at her residence.

Expressing shock over the abrupt loss, grieving family members and local residents noted that "preparations were progressing smoothly," making her extreme decision entirely unexpected and leaving the entire village in tears.

The exact reason driving the young employee to take her life remains unclear.

Police officers swiftly arrived at the scene to carry out a forensic inspection, registered a formal case, and launched a comprehensive investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding her death.
