Mangaluru: Absconding accused held in illegal arms case

Mangaluru, Aug 13: Police of the Kankanady Town police station arrested Manja alias Mysore Manja, a resident of Karubara Palya in Shivamogga, on August 11 in connection with a case registered at the Kankanady police station for illegally possessing a deadly weapon.

The accused, who had absconded after failing to appear before the court and changing his address, was arrested near KEB Colony in Shivamogga city.

Police said that several serious cases have been registered against him at various police stations in Shivamogga district.
