Mangaluru, Aug 13: As part of the Independence Day celebrations, Lourdes Central School KG section organised a series of vibrant competitions for the young learners, providing them with meaningful opportunities to express their patriotism, creativity and confidence. Every competition began with a prayer song led by the KG-2 students, adding blessings and a spiritual touch to each event.
On August 6, the Pre-KG fancy dress competition was held in the KG auditorium with 26 participants. Dressed as inspiring freedom fighters and national leaders, the little ones confidently portrayed the great personalities of India. Fr principal Johnson L Sequeira interacted with the children and encouraged them to learn about our national heroes. The competition was judged by madam Soumya Suresh and madam Swathi Om Pranam.








































The KG-2 collage work competition was also conducted on the theme 'Patriotism'. The children creatively depicted the national flag, unity, freedom and love for the nation through colourful artwork, developing teamwork and artistic expression.
On August 8, the KG-1 patriotic dance competition was held in the KG auditorium with enthusiastic participants. The children performed energetically to patriotic songs, filling the atmosphere with joy and national pride. Fr principal Johnson L Sequeira addressed and encouraged the young performers, while madam Sanjatha and madam Neumshanath judged the competition fairly.
The celebrations beautifully nurtured the spirit of patriotism, unity, creativity and confidence among the children, making the Independence Day activities truly memorable and inspiring.
