Kundapur, Aug 14: Gold jewellery and cash were stolen from a house opposite Bobbaryankatte in Kundapur after burglars broke open the front door of the house in the absence of its occupants on Thursday.
The theft took place at the house of Sharada, located opposite Bobbaryankatte. Her son, Vijay Naveen Kumar, had left his mother at his aunt’s house in Kota and travelled to Mumbai on August 8. When Vijay returned home on the morning of August 13, he discovered that the house had been burgled.

The burglars reportedly broke the latch of the front door using a weapon and entered the house. They stole around 8 grams of gold jewellery and foreign currency kept in a cupboard. The total value of the stolen gold and cash is estimated at around Rs 95,000.
Following information about the incident, Kundapur circle inspector Jayaram Gowda, City police station PSI Pushpa and other personnel visited the spot and conducted an inspection.
