Mangaluru, Aug 14: The Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, organised the ‘Swaranjali’ singing competition 'Moving Minds with Melody' on August 12 as part of PARAMPARA 2026 celebrating the art and culture of India. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from 120 students representing the BBA aviation management and BBA aviation & logistics management programmes.
The event featured a wide range of musical categories, including classical solo, eastern solo, folk song solo, patriotic solo, folk group, and patriotic group, providing students with an excellent opportunity to showcase their vocal talent, stage confidence, and artistic expression. The performances reflected the rich diversity of Indian music and culture, creating a vibrant cultural atmosphere on campus.







The competition served as an excellent platform for students to nurture their musical abilities while promoting creativity, confidence, teamwork, and a deeper appreciation for India’s artistic heritage. The patriotic and folk performances evoked a strong sense of national pride and cultural unity, while the classical and eastern categories highlighted discipline, musical excellence, and dedication to the performing arts.
The event was successfully organized under the guidance and support of the Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, SWO, HODs, cultural coordinators, faculty members, student coordinators and staff members. Their encouragement and coordination ensured the smooth execution of the event.
