Mangaluru, Aug 17: A new chapter of academic and professional learning began at Yenepoya with the successful conduct of Deeksharambh 2026 – Student induction & orientation programme, organised jointly by the Yenepoya School of Allied Health Sciences, Yenepoya Physiotherapy College and the Department of Hospital Administration, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University).

Held from August 12 to 14, the programme welcomed newly admitted students into the university community through a series of interactive orientation sessions aimed at preparing them for their academic journey and campus life.

The programme featured sessions on academic programmes, digital learning platforms, information technology, cyber security, professionalism, library resources, student affairs, anti-ragging measures, leadership and communication, gender sensitisation, inclusivity, NSS, substance-abuse prevention, digital learning and extracurricular activities.

A key highlight of the programme was the installation of the YSAHS Student Council, providing students with an opportunity to take an active role in student representation, leadership and campus engagement.

The concluding institution- and programme-wise sessions focused on curriculum and examination orientation, mentor-mentee interaction, code of conduct, and DigiLocker and ABC ID registration, helping students gain clarity on academic and administrative processes.

With the theme ‘A new beginning, a brighter future,’ Deeksharambh 2026 provided a structured and engaging platform for students to understand university expectations, explore opportunities beyond the classroom and begin their higher education journey with confidence and purpose.
