Beltangady, Aug 19: The body of a 70-year-old man was found in front of a bar near the Guruvayanakere bus stand in Kuvettu village of Beltangady taluk on Tuesday morning, August 18.
The deceased has been identified as Mariyappa, a resident of Kenchala in Hosanagara taluk of Shivamogga district, based on the police investigation.
According to information available, Mariyappa had been suffering from health-related issues and is suspected to have collapsed and died at the spot.
Beltangady police visited the spot and conducted an inspection following the incident.
Police have registered a case and are conducting further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
