MAHE marks strong global rise in ARWU 2026, ranks 7th in India

Udupi, Aug 19: Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), an Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University, has improved its ranking to the 701-800 band in the 2026 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), released by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy. MAHE moved up from the 801-900 band in the previous edition, reaffirming its steady progress in global academic and research performance.

According to the ARWU Tracker analysis, MAHE ranks 779th globally and 7th in India, with a 36-position improvement globally and a 3-position improvement nationally compared with its 2025 standing.

The latest recognition underscores the ongoing commitment to academic excellence, research, innovation, and global engagement. It also emphasises the expanding role in knowledge creation and the University’s commitment to promoting impactful, interdisciplinary research.
