Mangaluru: Srinivas University hosts guest talk on mutual fund investments

Mangaluru, Aug 22: The Institute of Management and Commerce, Srinivas University, City Campus, Pandeshwar, Mangaluru, in association with the guest talk forum, organised a guest talk on “Financialisation of Savings into Investment – Way Forward: Mutual Fund” on August 20, in Classroom No. 414.

The programme was organised with the objective of providing students with practical insights into mutual fund investments, financialisation of savings, and the importance of channelising savings towards productive investment avenues. Avinash D’Souza, chief manager & cluster head, HDFC Asset Management Co Ltd, Mangaluru, delivered an insightful session highlighting the practical aspects of mutual fund investments and the importance of making informed investment decisions.

The programme was organised under the guidance of Dr Venkatesh S Amin, dean, Institute of Management and Commerce, and Prof Shilpa K, HoD, Institute of Management and Commerce, with Dr Bharathi and Prof Ramya A serving as the guest talk forum coordinators.

The session provided students with valuable exposure to practical financial knowledge and helped bridge the gap between classroom learning and the real-world aspects of investment.
