Udupi, Aug 24: St Mary’s English Medium School celebrated Grandparents’ Day with great joy and enthusiasm on August 22 at St Mary’s Auditorium, celebrating the special bond between grandparents and their grandchildren.
The programme commenced with a prayer, followed by the welcome address by Athulit and Amana. Rihaan, Samruddhi, Aarav and Marissa highlighted the importance and significance of Grandparents’ Day. The students entertained the gathering with vibrant action dance, dramatic dance and retro dance performances, while the teachers presented a heartfelt wishing song.
A special highlight of the celebration was the enthusiastic wedding attire ramp walk by the grandparents, which was a visual treat for the audience.





















Dapsy Vaz, coordinator of the kindergarten section, introduced the chief guest, Dr Sanyo D’Souza, who was felicitated on the occasion. In her address, Dr Sanyo D’Souza shared an inspiring message and offered valuable health tips, stressing the importance of maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle.
Correspondent Fr Denis D’Sa, in his presidential address, added a special touch to the celebration by singing a beautiful song dedicated to the grandparents and children.
The programme also featured an energetic Zumba performance by teachers and grandparents.
Fun-filled games conducted by Renita D’Almeida and Reema created moments of laughter and enjoyment among the grandparents.
Vice principal Rita Quadros graced the occasion. The programme was compered by Rajashree Nayak, while Dihaan and Prisha proposed the vote of thanks.
The celebration concluded on a joyful note, leaving the grandparents and grandchildren with cherished memories of a day filled with love, laughter and togetherness.
