Kasargod, Aug 24: In a devastating turn of events, a seven-year-old girl hailing from Kasaragod met a tragic end after plummeting from the third floor of an apartment complex in Sharjah on Monday morning—just twenty-four hours after returning from her summer holiday.
The victim has been identified as Safa, the cherished only child of Mubarak Ali and Murshida, residents of Mogral in Kasargod.
The nightmare unfolded at approximately 9:00 am local time in the Al Nabba neighbourhood of Sharjah.

According to reports, the youngster was playing inside a room of the family's flat when she unexpectedly lost her footing near an open window and fell to the ground below.
At the time of the fatal mishap, her mother had already left for work, leaving her father, Mubarak Ali, at home. A critically injured Safa was rushed to the nearby Al Qassimi Hospital, but medical staff could only declare her dead on arrival.
The family, who have resided in Sharjah for eight years, had only just touched down in the Gulf on Sunday following a summer vacation in their native Kerala. Safa was a Grade 2 student at a local private school.
Her body currently remains in the hospital mortuary while Sharjah police conduct a formal inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the drop. "The family is in deep shock," shared a close relative. "We are awaiting the completion of legal formalities before bringing her home."
