RPO to hold Passport Adalats in Mangaluru, Hubballi to clear pending cases

Bengaluru, Aug 26: The Regional Passport Office (RPO), Bengaluru, has announced the organization of a Passport Adalat aimed at resolving complex passport applications that have remained pending since before May 31.

The Adalats will be conducted at the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) in Mangaluru on September 5, 2026, and at the PSK in Hubballi on September 12. The sessions will take place at the respective PSK premises between 10 am and 12 noon.

During the Adalat, applications submitted on or before May 31, which are yet to be disposed of due to various reasons, will be taken up for review. Officials will interact directly with the applicants during these sessions to facilitate faster clearance of their files.

Guidelines for participation

Eligible applicants who wish to participate in the Adalat must send a self-signed consent letter by post, which should reach the authorities on or before September 2. The consent letter must include the applicant's file number, telephone or mobile number, and email ID (if available).

The envelope containing the consent letter must prominently mention ‘PASSPORT ADALAT - SEPTEMBER 2026’ on the cover.

Applicants can post their letters to the following address:

Alternatively, the letters can be sent directly to the respective PSKs in Mangaluru or Hubballi.

The RPO has also requested applicants to send a copy of the consent letter in advance to the email address: policy.rpoblr@cpo.gov.in, with the subject line reading ‘PASSPORT ADALAT - SEPTEMBER 2026’.

The authorities have strictly noted that only requests received by September 2, pertaining to passport applications submitted on or before May 31, will be considered during this Adalat.
