Kundapur, Aug 26: The induction program of the first year B.E. students of the academic year 2026-2027 at the Moodlakatte Institute of Technology (MITK) College was held with great pomp and ceremony in the college auditorium.
Ratnakar Bhat, CEO of KarMic Design Pvt. Ltd., Manipal, participated as the chief guest of the program and said, "Along with technical skills, creativity, continuous learning and discipline are very important in student life. In today's competitive world, we should become engineers who can contribute to the progress of the country by incorporating new technologies," he called upon the students.

The Principal of the college, Dr. Ramakrishna Hegde, gave an introductory talk about the educational environment, infrastructure and the encouragement given by the institution for the holistic development of the students. The Academic Director of the institution, Dr. S. N. Bhat, speaking, motivated the students to develop a clear goal, hard work and a positive attitude in college life.
On this occasion, talented students who brought glory to the institution by scoring excellent marks in the VTU exams (University Semester Toppers) were honored and felicitated in the presence of dignitaries.
Student Welfare Coordinator Sukshma Adiga welcomed the dignitaries and parents who arrived for the program. Deepak Shetty, Head of Basic Science, proposed the vote of thanks. Placement Dean Prof. Akshata Naik introduced the guest. Student Pallavi compered the program. First year students, parents and teaching and non-teaching staff of the college were present at the program.
