St Joseph Engineering College to host 21st Graduation Ceremony for class of 2026

Mangaluru, Aug 27: St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Vamanjoor, Mangaluru, will host its Twenty-First Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, August 29, at the Kalam Auditorium, AB II, marking a significant milestone in the academic journey of the graduating batch of 2026.

The ceremony will bring together graduating students, their families, faculty members, management representatives and distinguished guests to celebrate the achievements and accomplishments of the class of 2026. The event will be conducted in two sessions to accommodate graduates from various engineering and technology programmes.

The first session, scheduled from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm, will witness the graduation of students from mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, and electronics and communication engineering. Francis D’Souza, managing director, F4 Holdings India Pvt Ltd, will be the chief guest, while Richard Nazareth, engineering leader, VMware Broadcom R&D Division, will be the guest of honour.

The second session, scheduled from 5.00 pm to 7.30 pm, will be dedicated to graduates from computer science and engineering, artificial intelligence and machine learning, computer science and business systems, and computer science and data science. Dr Archana Mantri, vice chancellor, Anurag University, Hyderabad, will grace the occasion as the chief guest, with Ancy Jovita Crasta, senior product development manager, Siemens, as the guest of honour.

The graduation ceremony will be presided over by Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, bishop of the diocese of Mangalore and president, SJEC. The programme will also be attended by Dr Rio D’Souza, principal; Fr Kenneth R Crasta, assistant director; and Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, director, along with faculty members and other dignitaries.

A special highlight of the ceremony will be the honouring of university and institutional rank holders, recognising the academic excellence and dedication demonstrated by the graduating students. The event will also provide an opportunity for the graduates to formally mark the transition from their academic life at SJEC to their professional and entrepreneurial journeys ahead.
