Udupi: Family donates organs of 41-year-old Pranav Hegde, gives new hope to five

Udupi, Aug 28: The family of Pranav Hegde (41), a resident of Ambagilu who died following a sudden illness on Thursday, has set an example by donating his organs and giving a new lease of life to those in need.

Pranav's two kidneys, liver and two eyes were donated to Kasturba Medical College and Hospital, Manipal. The donation is expected to benefit at least five people and has brought a ray of hope to patients awaiting organ transplants.

Pranav was a former employee of Manipal Technologies and is survived by his mother, wife and two daughters.

The family's decision to donate his organs despite the grief of losing a loved one has been widely appreciated as a commendable and socially responsible gesture. Through their decision, the family has given a meaningful purpose to Pranav's death and helped extend the gift of life to others.
