Mangalore: Fire Breaks out in Car Street House

Mangalore, Mar 28: Fire erupted at a house in lower Car Street here on Wednesday March 28, causing a heavy loss.

The incident occured at the house of Jyothiprakash Shetty, who runs a paint business in Baikampady.

On Wednesday, he was heating the paint in his shed when the fire suddenly increased in intensity and spread throughout.

The shed has been completely charred in the incident. The extent of loss is yet to be ascertained, but it is expected to be a considerable amount.

Pandeshwar fire service personnel rushed to the spot with two fire engines and managed to douse the flames.

Bunder police gave registered a case in this regard.

    Luckily for Jyothiprakash Shetty there was no loss of life but only property damage. From the pictures shot by Dayanand Kukkaje, I feel there were many paint drums which must have caused.
