Karkala: Christ King students selected for Udupi district-level karate championship

Karkala, Aug 29: Students of Christ King English Medium High School, have excelled in the taluk-level karate competition for the under-17 category.

The competition was organised by the Department of Public Instruction, government of Karnataka, through the office of the block education officer, Karkala, in association with Vardhaman School.

Sudheeksha Poojary of class 9 and Akshay Prabhu of class 8 secured first place in the girls’ and boys’ categories respectively and have been selected to represent Karkala at the Udupi district-level karate championship.

Meanwhile, Smithy Shetty of class 9, Moisha of class 8 and Lisha D’Souza of class 7 secured second place in their respective categories.

The achievement has brought pride to Christ King English Medium High School, with the students receiving appreciation for their performance.
