Kasargod, Aug 29: A tipper truck overturned onto a house after its driver lost control of the vehicle at Kanjirapoyil in Madikai, resulting in the driver’s death.
The deceased has been identified as Sadiq (40), a resident of Chayyom.
The accident occurred at around Saturday morning at Kulangad in Kanjirapoyil. After unloading red soil from the truck, Sadiq was moving the vehicle forward when he lost control, causing the truck to overturn onto the nearby house belonging to P Gopalan.
The impact of the accident completely destroyed the kitchen portion of the house.
Sadiq, who sustained serious injuries in the accident, was immediately shifted to a hospital. However, he succumbed to his injuries despite treatment.
