Mangaluru, Aug 29: In view of the expected rush of passengers during the Onam festival, Southern Railway will operate a one-way special express train between Mangaluru Junction and Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT), Bengaluru.
Train No. 06072 Mangaluru Junction–SMVT Bengaluru One-Way Express Special will depart from Mangaluru Junction at 11.15 am on Saturday. The special service is aimed at providing additional travel facilities to passengers travelling between Kerala and various parts of Karnataka during the festive season.

The train will halt at several important stations, including Kasaragod, Kanhangad, Nileshwar, Kannur, Thalassery, Vadakara, Kozhikode, Shoranur Junction, Tirur, Palakkad Junction, Podanur Junction, Tiruppur, Erode Junction, Salem Junction, Bangarapet Junction and Krishnarajapuram.
As per the scheduled timings, the special train is expected to reach Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal, Bengaluru, at 4 am on Sunday.
